1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Forestmail ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Forestmail is an AI-powered email management platform that helps users classify, organize, and act on their emails. The Service includes:

• Email Classification — Automated categorization of emails using AI
• Inbox Management — View, search, star, archive, trash, and manage email threads
• Compose & Reply — Send new emails and reply to threads through your connected Gmail account
• Reports & Analytics — AI-generated summaries and sender statistics
• Filter Management — Create and manage Gmail filters for email automation
• Subscriber Management — Track and manage email senders

The Service requires connection to a Google Gmail account via OAuth 2.0 authorization.

3. Account Registration

To use Forestmail, you must:

• Create an account using Google Sign-In
• Be at least 13 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Gmail Account Connection

4.1 Authorization

To use the core features of Forestmail, you must connect at least one Gmail account by granting OAuth 2.0 permissions. By connecting your account, you authorize Forestmail to access your Gmail data as described in our Privacy Policy.

4.2 Scope of Access

4.3 Revocation

You may revoke Forestmail's access to your Gmail account at any time through your Google Account Permissions.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Plans

Forestmail may offer free and paid subscription plans. Features and limits vary by plan.

5.2 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed through Dodopayments. By subscribing, you agree to Dodopayments' terms and authorize recurring charges for your selected billing cycle.

5.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5.4 Changes to Pricing

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. You will be notified at least 30 days in advance, and changes will apply at the start of your next billing cycle.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk email (spam)
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service to harvest or store personal information about others without consent
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without prior written consent
• Circumvent any usage limits, rate limits, or security measures

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.

7. AI Classification Disclaimer

Forestmail uses artificial intelligence to classify and categorize emails. You acknowledge:

• AI classifications are not guaranteed to be accurate and may occasionally miscategorize emails
• You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated classifications
• Forestmail is not liable for consequences arising from incorrect classifications
• AI-generated reports and summaries are provided for informational purposes only

8. Email Actions Disclaimer

When you perform actions through Forestmail (such as sending, trashing, or permanently deleting emails), these actions are executed directly on your Gmail account via the Gmail API. You acknowledge that:

• Actions are irreversible in certain cases (e.g., permanent deletion)
• Forestmail is not responsible for unintended consequences of actions you initiate
• You should exercise caution when performing bulk or destructive actions

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Forestmail and is protected by intellectual property laws.

9.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of all email content accessed through the Service. By using Forestmail, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your email data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

10. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your data.

Forestmail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

11. Service Availability

• We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation
• The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• Forestmail is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind
• We disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• In no event shall Forestmail be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Forestmail from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.

14. Termination

14.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• Your use of the Service poses a security risk
• We are required to do so by law
• We discontinue the Service

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of India.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
